„Jetzt schreibt Ihr Vereinsgeschichte!" was a campaign created specifically for German amateur football clubs and it became the most successful promotional campaign in Coca-Cola Germany's history. It was so well received that it was rolled out across several European countries.

Participants collected codes from bottle caps to enter. The prizes were something special: a meet & greet or a public match against top clubs like Bayern Munich or Schalke 04. The contest ran for one month, featured a prize pool of 1 million Euros, and was supported by weekly cash prizes. Clubs could track their live standings directly on the campaign website.

The project covered packaging design, out-of-home, and TV advertising

Vereinsgeschichte 2.0
To keep the momentum going during the following year's FIFA World Cup, the campaign was refreshed with the FIFA World Cup Trophy as the main prize, displayed at the winning club's premises. Micro-campaigns became more customizable and participation via the app was made even easier.

Vereinsgeschichte 3.0
In its final chapter, the #Vereinsgeschichte campaign cemented Coca-Cola's role as a true supporter of German club sports. It reached not just football clubs, but clubs across all kinds of sports.
